This position is funded under the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Program.

  • To be eligible, applicants must: be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations


The Program Support will report to and support the Director of Monitoring &  Evaluation in developing initiatives for Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Central America and other business development projects. This will include research, writing, and administrative support. The position  will also support the Director and other CWY staff in the  develivery  and  monitoring  of current projects, intiatives and  activities.


Required qualifications and experience

Particular working conditions

  • Studies in Political Science, Development, International Studies, Law, Economics, Finance, Indigenous Studies, Arts and Science
  • Knowledge and interest in International Development
  • 30 hours a week;
  • Temporary position (7 weeks);
  • $12/hour
  • Based at the CWY Montreal Office
  • Starting Date: As soon as possible

  • Highly proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office  software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Web);
  • Experience with social media (Facebook, Twitter and others)
  • Excellent organizational abilities, priority management and multi-tasking;
  • Biligualism (French and English) is required;
  • Knowledge of Spanish or of an Indigenous Language is an asset.

  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional judgment;
  • Flexibility, adaptability, ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to unexpected requests and manage a range of new issues and activities meeting tight deadlines;
  • Initiative as well as the ability to be proactive and efficient in all aspect of their duties;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Ability to handle stress adaptability to change;
  • Be reliable and demonstrate tact and discretion.
