The passing of Mary Lindsay, past Regional Director

Canada World Youth wants to extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Mary Lindsay, who died from cancer on August 5, 2013 at the age of 59. Mary Lindsay started out with CWY as a Group Leader and Country Coordinator in the late 80’s with partners in India, Indonesia, Somalia and Sri Lanka. She did her job so well that her experience and expertise were put to good use when she became Regional Director in Vancouver in 1997, working with partners in Indonesia, Estonia, Brazil, Guaetmala, Mexico, China, Thailand and the Philippines. Her colleagues across the country always appreciated her professionalism, insights and commitment to the goals of the organisation.
