News update: Volcanic Eruption in Indonesia

CWY currently has two teams on the island of Java, in Indonesia, where a volcano, Mount Kelud, erupted last Friday, Feb.14th, 2014. Both teams are safe and sound and, while a blanket of dust and ash has covered most of the island, none of our youth volunteers or staff are in any immediate danger. Dust masks have been distributed to everyone and other measure to ensure the safety of our staff and volunteers have been put in place, including recommendations to avoid strenuous outdoor activities until the air quality improves. We will keep you informed of any further important updates and information and will provide further information should the situation change.
