It’s a Wrap! We want to say THANKS!
The 2013-2014 Youth Leaders in Action programming year has come to a close. This year was, once again, filled with tons of cross-cultural learning, team building, community engagement activities and direct support for community development initiatives in our partner countries. On top of all that, it provided many unforgettable experiences for everyone involved.
We want to take this opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the people that make this program such an unforgettable experience for our Youth Volunteers. Our Host Families, Work Projects, community resource people and many more make this program a ongoing success!
We know the relationships built between our host families and youth volunteers often last for years to come, sometimes a lifetime. This is because of the care and consideration our host families place on providing a safe and engaging home stay experience for our youth volunteers. We feel very lucky to have such a generous and thoughtful group of people hosting and caring for our volunteers.
The learning and mentorship provided by our community work projects are incredible. Through hands on learning and skills training in community building, community service provision and project management, our youth volunteers gain concrete leadership skills, building their confidence and capacity to create change in their own communities.
These incredible people, and many others that take part in our program through activities and events, reach out to our groups, offer their support and help make CWY programs the most unique and life-changing experiences a youth can have.
THANK YOU to our committed CWY community for helping us offer such unique and unforgettable experiences, fostering a global community of concerned citizens who care for people and communities around the world.
If you are interested in taking part in our 2014-2015 program as one of our fabulous host families or work projects, please check out the details on our website and keep your eyes and ears open for the arrival of a CWY Project Supervisor in your community!
