Canada World Youth is on Tour

MONTREAL, Q.C. (July 17, 2014) – Canada World Youth (CWY) invites you to join the Chair of CWY, Colin Robertson, and the President and CEO Rita S. Karakas as they host a local Alumni event on Thursday, July 17, at the Saskatoon Community Youth Arts Programming, Art Centre Gallery to start CWY’s summer outreach tour.

Canada World Youth begins its Western Tour in Saskatoon through to Yellowknife and concludes in Inuvik on July 25, 2014 at the Inuit Circumpolar Conference.  Aboriginal youth represent over 20% of participants in CWY programs. There are also 138 Inuit youth that have been engaged in CWY programs.

“We are excited to welcome Aboriginal youth and our distinguished alumni,” said Ms. Karakas. “We are especially proud of our alumni, many have gone on to lead successful careers and have become positive role models to our newest participants.”

Saskatoon Scheduled Tour

  • July 17th at 5:00 to 7:00 pm SCYAP Art Centre Gallery
  • July 18th at 10:00 am Opening Ceremonies in Batoche, SK
  • July 19th at 10:30 am Veterans Memorial in Batoche, SK
