Ebola virus: CWY is exploring options for West African projects

While no cases of the Ebola virus have been confirmed to date in Canada World Youth’s African destinations, we are currently considering various options for all CWY projects currently taking place in West Africa, including the interruption of projects.  CWY has already taken action to ensure that, should the decision be made to repatriate youth from these countries, proper land and air transportation is available.

For projects scheduled to depart for West African countries in the coming months, CWY is working on several scenarios, including delaying departure dates. We will continue to monitor the World Health Organization’s assessment of the situation, as well as that of Canadian and American authorities, and we will provide updates as decisions are taken regarding our projects in West Africa.
