No Risk to Youth Volunteers in Vietnam: Typhoon Kalmaegi

Canada World Youth (CWY) is monitoring the effects of Typhoon Kalmaegi on Vietnam. The Typhoon Kalmaegi, which has now weakened to a tropical depression, made landfall in northeastern Vietnam yesterday, causing rainstorms. Youth volunteers participating in CWY programs in Vietnam have not been significantly affected by the effects of the Typhoon. Program host communities are located in the mountainous areas, away from the most impacted zones in the coast.
