Canada World Youth Meets Alumni in Calgary
MONTREAL, Q.C. (November 3, 2014) – Canada World Youth (CWY) President and CEO Rita S. Karakas, and board member Lois Mitchell hosted an evening gathering with Calgary alumni on October 28th.
The event served as an opportunity to discuss the important transformations taking place at CWY, and Mr. Arnold Blackstar discussed new initiatives for aboriginal youth, which are attracting interest across Canada. Aboriginal youth represent over 20% of participants in CWY programs, and 12% of those are from Alberta.
“We always look forward to sharing our new initiatives with friends and Alumni,” said Ms. Karakas. “We are especially proud of our alumni, many have gone on to lead successful careers and have become positive role models to our newest participants.”
