CWY presents its first Webinar series!
With the deadline for participation in the call for proposals for the IAYI fast approaching, Canada World Youth, with the encouragement of Global Affairs Canada, offered webinars in January to Indigenous and non-indigenous organizations and institutions to assist them with their applications for International Aboriginal Youth Internship (IAYI) projects. Led by our very own Arnold Blackstar, Director of Indigenous Programs, Fabienne Pierre-Jacques, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation and Mike Power, Vice-President of Programming and Operations, the webinar addressed everything from working with overseas partners to field support, budget creation, operations and educational content. The facilitators shared their experience and knowledge with 13 people from different organizations across Canada including World Vision and the participation of Global Affairs Canada.
“We were proud to be recognized by our colleagues as the expert when it comes to implementing IAYI projects,” explained Arnold Blackstar. “And the webinar proved to be an effective way to share knowledge and engage in a fruitful conversation.”
Because of its success, Canada World Youth is looking forward to presenting future webinars – stay tuned!
