Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau’s visit to EQWIP HUBs in Senegal for International Development Week

The Honorable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, paid a visit to our EQWIP HUBs office in Dakar, Senegal, on Saturday, February 3, to launch the start of International Development Week. She participated in a Facebook Live to exchange with volunteers on their reasons for volunteering. Participants were eager to share with her their experience as well as Minister Bibeau herself reminiscing on her international volunteer work. To view this Facebook Live, click here.

DuclosMinister Bibeau wasn’t the only Minister that shared with us their volunteer experience. The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, who he himself is a former Canada World Youth participant, shared on Twitter his memories of time spent on his 1985/86 CWY exchange in Sri Lanka. During this International Development Week, he praised those who work diligently to improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable people.
