Become an Ambassador of Indigenous 150+, a film and conversation series!
Canada World Youth is proud to announce a new partnership between CWY, Indigenous 150+ and Nation Talk. With this new partnership comes exciting opportunities for our Indigenous Alumni!
Be a changemaker
As a CWY Alumni we invite you to become an Ambassador of Indigenous 150+, a film and conversation series. You will help choose a film and moderate a conversation with local experts. Join us in bringing this cultural event to your region. This initiative was developed as a response to the TRC 94 Calls To Action. An honorarium will be provided.
Daryl Kootenay, CWY alumni, became a changemaker when he hosted an Indigenous 150+ event at ArtsPlace in Canmore, B. C. This is what he had to say about it:
“My experience with the Indigenous 150+ initiative was very special and meaningful. Not only did I get the opportunity to be a part of spreading awareness of indigenous history and issues but also to connect and make new relationships with indigenous and non-indigenous peoples who care and want to help for the better.”
Interview a changemaker
As a CWY Alumni we invite you to amplify the positive stories in your community by interviewing a changemaker and building your and your community’s profile. No equipment necessary. Interview guidelines and a tip sheet will be provided. Start your own National podcast on NationTalk.
If you are interested in either of these amazing opportunities,
please respond by October 1st, 2018.
