Deadline to apply is February 23, 2018

Their Shanghai ECNU experience is over and now they are off to teach primary and middle school students in Chongqing.  Recruitment for 2018 cohort has now started!

ChinaThe China-Canada Young Leaders Program, a partnership between East China Normal University (ECNU) in Shanghai and Canada World Youth, started in September and will run until the end December 2017.  For the first 13 weeks of this exciting initiative six Canadian students are living on campus while studying Chinese history, learning about the fastest growing economy in the world as well as its political system. Some courses are with Chinese students, while others are specifically designed for international students. A key component of the program is to study Mandarin.

The Young Leaders have been sharing videos with us on social media, describing their interest in applying to the program as well as life on campus and around Shanghai:

Continue following us on Facebook and Twitter for regular updates and to see how they are doing with their Mandarin!

During the final four weeks of the program, participants will teach primary and middle school students in Chongqing. Courses will be given in a wide range of subjects based on the academic background and interest of each Canadian student. We’re looking forward to sharing with you this next stage of their program.
